I have been unable to identify this medal in any of my catalogs but have tentatively dated it 1815. Around that period of time Louis XVIII was trying hard to associate himself with Henri IV, arguably the only Bourbon King worth keeping. I have read accounts of money being raised in the post-Napoleonic period to replace the Bourbon monuments that had been pulled down during the Revolution.
